Video Scope International, Ltd. (VSI) was launched to solve one problem facing the microscopy industry: cameras were not capable of recording live cell events. Illumination is harmful to cells or overpowers the event being observed. Superb low light level sensitivity was the key. We pioneered the effort to use image intensifiers (a night vision device) for scientific research. We have concentrated our efforts on making linear instruments allowing accurate quantification of data.

We are dedicated to providing video equipment meeting the diverse needs of rigorous scientific imaging applications. We are leaders in UV, Visible and IR video imaging equipment. Many of our products are based on using the unique performance qualities found in image intensifiers, some of which are manufactured to our special requirements. BaySpec, Inc. was founded by optical engineers on the premise of manufacturing rugged, reliable, high-performance devices.
